Watkins Glen Sprint Cup Race Postponed To Tomorrow Due To Rain

Written by Staff on August 10th, 2009

Marcos Ambrose will have to wait another day to attempt to become the first driver to ‘sweep’ the Watkins Glen NASCAR weekend after rain postponed the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at The Glen in Watkins Glen, New York today.

Ambrose was due to start fourth in today’s 90-lap race aboard the #47 Little Debbie-backed entry of JTG Daugherty Racing as he attempts to win his first top-flight Sprint Cup Series race.

Yesterday, the Australian earned his second NASCAR victory by winning the Zippo 200 in the Nationwide Series for the second-consecutive year.
