Dodo Racing Team drivers Jack Perkins and Dale Wood set the 15th fastest time in practice for the L&H 500 at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in Victoria today.
Perkins and Wood worked closely together to establish a sound race set-up on the #11 Dodo Holden Commodore, braving the blistery conditions at the southern Victorian venue.

“We had an interesting day with the Dodo Commodore,” said Jack Perkins.
“It was not where we wanted to end up but I think we have made some good gains for tomorrow.”
Tomorrow will see separate practice, qualifying and qualifying heat races for each driver to determine the starting grid for Sunday’s L&H 500.
“It was a good first day, so we did a lot with set-up, probably not where we want to be at the moment and these new tyres seem to have made quite a difference to the handing of the car,” said Dale Wood.
“We need to get on top of that. Otherwise it was a good first day, the Dodo Commodore held together well. Hopefully it is all upwards from here.”
Mark Winterbottom set the fastest time in practice today ahead of Jamie Whincup and the Brad Jones Racing Commodore of Jason Richards and Cameron McConville.
